Its been quite a bit since I wrote last. I have been busy with moving and my renovations. I think we are settling in. I don't have everything in its place yet but it is getting there. My kitchen is currently 3/4 of the way done. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the counter tops.
I am so OVER my kitchen and decided to move on to the next room instead before I tackle the countertops and am out a kitchen for another foreseeable amount of time.
We moved on to the half bathroom. My significant other (SO) decided he was going to design it. I have talked him down quite a bit on this one. The room is 5x4 and he wanted dark gray walls, black tile, and a black sink and toilet.
This would not look good.
I am a creative person. I can look at a room and visualize exactly how it will look when its complete. My SO cannot do that. Everytime I have mentioned something I want to do, I get a funny face. Until its actually completed will he say "ok, I get it and it looks great".
I tried to explain my vision, and it was hard for him to grasp. For example, I showed him a sink I wanted to get online and the directions, and until we were in the store and he was actually looking at it, did he say "yes, this sink it great".
The finished product in the half bathroom will be:
1. Flat ceilings (the popcorn is coming down!)
2. Dark gray walls (I compromised!)
3. New high efficiency toilet
4. Wall mounted sink
5. Vinyl plank flooring
6. A pop of color via towels ( I'm thinking yellow, teal, or red...SO is for red.)
